Grasshopper

Invertebrate - Acrididae

Grasshoppers have chewing mouthparts and long antennae. Their hind femurs are inflated for jumping. There front wings are hardened at base. Male grasshoppers emit mating calls by rubbing their wings together. Most species feed on plants.
